Stirling Young Curlers - First to
Achieve Gold Award

As those who dabble in the ancient art of curling will already know, the RCCC (Royal Caledonian Curling Club) governing body for curling in Scotland, operate skill level courses brought to students by club coaches as part of their ongoing development. These start at the base level RED advancing to WHITE, BLUE, BRONZE, SILVER and finally GOLD.

The purpose of the scheme is to develop and reward students for their achievements encouraging them to advance their skills by progressing through the scheme aiming towards the highest accolade of the GOLD standard, which takes several years to complete.

Stirling Young Curlers have had many success stories but recently are proud to have within their membership the very first curler Daryl Russell to achieve the GOLD award. On behalf of the club we would all wish to congratulate Daryl in this historic achievement.
